‘Home’

Home is a very emotive and evocative word. A calming, comforting word which means something different to every one of us.

Our ‘home’ wherever and whatever it is has connotations of somewhere we feel our true selves, a place we can retreat and a place of safety. And however, you describe your home is deeply personal and important to you.

We invest so much in our homes, both financially and emotionally as a way to define us, what we are or want to be that it feels to me that the insides of our homes deserve that same level of time thought and investment.

When we do spend time and thought on the insides of our homes, giving them the same level of consideration as the building itself, we can create spaces that help to bring out the very best in us, whether that be an area that enables us to relax and switch off, a kitchen to experiment, create, teach and be sociable, or a space that is stimulating yet functional where we can work without distraction.

An interior designer’s job is to considers all these factors when designing your home. Their primary objective above all else should be to design you a home which echoes you, that mirrors you, your tastes and your lifestyle, your future self, so that you feel truly at ‘home’ when you are there.

If your feel your home isn’t working for you as well as you want it to, whether that be the choice of colours in the room, the furniture you have, or the way your rooms are arranged aren’t making it easy for your home to function smoothly, then it is worth considering hiring an interior designer.

I offer packages so you know exactly what the outlay will be and what you will get for your investment. My passion is to create bespoke spaces that showcase the personality of the home’s owner. Together with my client we unlock their style preferences and tastes, we work to design treasured possessions into schemes or will source something unique to create a scheme that makes your house your home.
